The Sea Ranch
The commitment to “live lightly with the land” has defined this secluded Sonoma Coast community since its 1960s conception.
Known for its stunning natural beauty, relaxed atmosphere, and commitment to environmental sustainability, The Sea Ranch has attracted dreamers and doers across the world.
Bluffs
Cypress hedgerows reach toward the Pacific, dwellings nestled within, leaving meadows of common space that empty into the Pacific Ocean.
Walking the Bluff Trail — a 20 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the house — is perhaps the most inspiring activity to do at Sea Ranch Ridge.
Design
Here, a strict design aesthetic aims to complement the rugged coast and bluffs. The architecture is reminiscent of the original structures that stood here: traditional barns with understated materials.
The Design Manual is far from prescriptive, yet requires considering each structure’s relationship to the sun, wind, views, and land.
Recreation
Guests have access to The Sea Ranch’s three recreation centers. Each recreation center has a heated pool, saunas, and at least one tennis court. Ohlson Recreation Center, left, is closest to Sea Ranch Ridge.
The Sea Ranch Lodge is an eight-minute drive away, making Sea Ranch Ridge an excellent choice for a group attending a wedding, celebration, or other event hosted at the Lodge.
